Expedition Map Tool first issue released !!!

Expedition Map Tool first issue released !!!

EMT is a tool designed to support teams of travelers traveling on long range trip.

EMT use KML file as list of way-point. KML file can be created with Google Map, Google Earth and other similar tools.

EMT reads way-points and path from the file and shows them on a vector MAP.

Once the way-point list is loaded you can ask EMT to route you along the list.

An arrow show the direction to reach the next point and a panel shows distance and other useful information.

You can even click on a WP to ask EMT to route you directly there.

Please note that EMT is not a "turn by turn" navigator, but a "nautical navigator". This why serious travelers do not need a turn by turn hesitance, but more complex information to manage their trip. In example the estimated time to arrive in a place or the distance to the next of the next WP.

A KML file can be loaded even as "Point of Interest". In this case points are shown on the map only for information and are not considered part of the root. you can load different KML for the WP list and POI list.

EMT is the ideal tool for 4x4 adventure, allowing all the cars to have the same view of the route. But is perfect for groups campers and caravan too.

What's next ? I'm working on a trip planner to easy create and share KML file. Stay tuned.
